Eldest Child was away at Cub Scout Camp last week and Youngest Child and I have wereon our own. YC is now a Wolf scout and he and Ispent the week working on electives that earn arrows. I'd like him to match EC's progress each year but that means completing over 110 optional activities.

A week ago our pack had our annual bridging ceremony where the scouts cross over into their next year. It was Youngest Child's first time and Eldest Child's last one (not counting graduation in Feb).

The boys in Eldest Child's cub scout den had to earn their Handyman badge. It included learning how to check a vehicle's oil and tire pressure, how to adjust the various parts of a bike, changing lightbulbs and washing a car.

I'm in charge of the theme for the Cub Scout Pack Meeting this Fri and as part of the event, we needed some props. All of the items for the props were lost in the fire (literally flung out of the window, waterlogged or stomped on by firefighters) and we lost the whole month of Nov instead of finishing them. As a result, we've had to crunch a lot of work into a short amount of time.
