One of the members on the CERT team is involved in construction, specifically demolition. That makes them one of my experts that I go to for equipment issues and questions.
As a result, I find myself needing to call them on occasion during the day, on their cell. Cell phones can be used to detonate stuff and should never be used near explosives. I know that they are supposed to turn off their phone if it's a problem but whenever I have to call, I have the irrational fear that their phone will ring and they will be blown to kingdom come.
And then I'll leave a message on their voice mail and the officials will be able to track that call to the one I made that killed everyone. The inside of my head can be a scary place. She laughed when I told her.
Scary is a word for it...not the one I would you use, but sure.
